Citi has announced the appointment of Ganesh Baliga as the new Managing Director and Head of Citi India Solutions. This strategic move underscores Citi’s unwavering commitment to fostering innovation and enhancing operational effectiveness across its vital technology and solutions hubs in India.
In his new, elevated role, Baliga will be instrumental in overseeing Citi’s comprehensive technology strategy and its subsequent implementation across all of the company’s facilities in India. These Indian operations are recognized as crucial pillars supporting Citi’s global infrastructure.
Baliga brings a wealth of experience to this leadership position, having dedicated over two decades to Citi. During his tenure, he has held numerous significant roles within the global markets sector, including assignments in key financial centers like London and Pune. Most recently, he served as the Global Program Manager for FIT Transformation, where he played a pivotal role in driving strategic technology modernization initiatives.
Baliga’s career at Citi also includes impactful stints as the Global Head of Architecture and SVP – Application Development, where he demonstrated extensive expertise in enterprise architecture, digital transformation, and operational governance.
