Schneider Electric has made a remarkable announcement with the appointment of Canninah Dladla as its new Cluster President for English-speaking Africa, starting from June 1, 2025. Dladla becomes the first woman to hold this prestigious role, overseeing 24 countries in the region with its base in Johannesburg, South Africa. This is a key moment for the company, as the region’s rapidly growing economies and expanding populations present numerous opportunities.
Dladla’s return to Schneider Electric marks a significant milestone in her illustrious career. She had previously been part of the company from 2008 to 2013, where she made notable contributions, including her role as Vice President for the Energy Business within the Power Systems division. With a career spanning 29 years, Dladla brings an abundance of expertise and proven leadership to her new position.
Before rejoining Schneider Electric, Dladla was the Managing Director and Country Sales Director for Africa at Rockwell Automation. There, she played a pivotal role in spearheading business transformation and aligning the company’s global strategies with local market needs. She was also instrumental in Rockwell’s expansion across both English and French-speaking Africa, helping to strengthen the company’s regional presence and fostering a more inclusive and locally adapted approach.
Additionally, Dladla’s career includes an executive role at GE Power, where she led key business transformation initiatives and managed strategic accounts.
