This appointment marks a major milestone in Dutta’s career, which spans more than 20 years across digital transformation, enterprise technology consulting, SAP modernization, AI-driven innovation, large-scale program management and consulting leadership.
In his new role, Dutta will help organizations navigate complex business and technology challenges by leveraging his expertise in digital transformation, enterprise modernization, business consulting and technology-led growth strategies.
Before joining Deloitte South Asia, Dutta served as Head of Consulting and Delivery at ArcelorMittal Digital Consulting, the consulting division of the global steel and mining company. There, he led the organization’s long-term digital transformation strategy across SAP, AI/ML, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Customer Experience and Data Analytics. He also played a key role in driving global S/4HANA transformation programs, establishing AI and Machine Learning Centers of Excellence, and overseeing MES deployments across European operations.
Prior to that, Dutta spent nearly 3 years at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) as Program Director. During his tenure, he led large-scale global S/4HANA transformation initiatives, managed multi-million-dollar technology portfolios and advised enterprises on digital modernization programs involving teams across multiple regions.
Earlier in his career, he spent 8 years at Tech Mahindra in several leadership roles, including Program Manager, Service Delivery Manager – SAP, Automation and Ecosystem, and Onsite Program Manager. He led major digitization projects, managed global delivery teams, implemented SAP programs and introduced automation-driven delivery models for international clients in markets such as India and Switzerland.
Dutta also held leadership positions at Capgemini, where he served as Manager – SAP CPG & Retail Competency. His responsibilities included solution architecture, pre-sales consulting, capability development and SAP transformation initiatives for consumer products and retail organizations.
Before Capgemini, he spent more than 5 years with IBM, progressing through multiple leadership roles including SAP Track Lead, Onsite Team Lead, Solution Architect and Lead Consultant. During this period, he led global SAP rollouts, enterprise transformation projects, automation initiatives and change management programs.
His earlier professional experience includes roles at PSI Data Systems, General Electric (GE) and Asea Brown Boveri (ABB), where he built expertise in SAP consulting, enterprise technology implementation, project management, manufacturing systems and business process transformation.
With a strong track record of leading complex business and technology programs, Dutta is widely recognized for delivering transformation initiatives that drive operational excellence and long-term business value.
