Amid changing operational priorities, T-Mobile has announced job cuts across Washington, impacting hundreds of employees across a wide range of roles.
The company will lay off 393 employees in the state, with positions ranging from engineers and analysts to senior leadership. T-Mobile said the permanent layoffs will begin on April 2 and are linked to shifting business needs. The company clarified that no physical office locations will be shut down as part of the move.
The job cuts will affect more than 200 different job titles. This includes nearly 210 roles at the senior or director level, as well as 7 vice president positions. Employees at multiple locations will be impacted, including T-Mobile’s headquarters in Bellevue, several data centres, call centres, offices across Washington, and a number of remote roles.
Despite the layoffs, T-Mobile said it continues to hire in other parts of the business. The company indicated that while some teams are being reduced, recruitment is ongoing in select areas.
The announcement follows a change in the company’s chief executive last year, suggesting a broader reshaping of operations as leadership priorities evolve.
